reactive networked installations

Digital
Massacre was a networked media project at the University for Design
Karlsruhe, initiated by Louis-Philippe Demers, Paul Modler und Michael
Saup.
The third incarnation, Digital Massacre III, was developed by students
at the end of a
programming course by Stefan Preuß und Holger Förterer in 2002. It
conststed of several independent works that reacted to
images, texts, colors and meta commands like "bang" or "freeze" that
were sent by a centralized server.
The group
of students that was formed thereby banded together again for the
project zentralin.
