inflammable (preview/working title)

A dark room is lit by the reflection of a fire. The fire surrounds an icon that is enwound, but not attacked by it. It's a peaceful sight, quiet and powerful. The fire, visible, audible and sensible is manifested by light, sound and heat.

Both icon and flames elude an immediate touch by the viewer. When a person approaches the picture, the intensity of flames will increase. On the attempt of touching the icon it will enshroud in fire completely and alter its form. The emerging fire cycle similarly stages destruction and creation – according to the vulnarability and return of the values symbolized by the icon.
